They measure progress towards the SDG global framework and place-based priority goals. The MSI team completed the project’s pilot phase through engagements with two Colorado mountain communities.

Mountain Resilience Coalition

From 2017 - present

The Mountain Resilience Coalition has been formed between the Aspen International Mountain Foundation, Telluride Institute, and Western Colorado University’s Center for Mountain Transitions. The MRC’s mission is to promote and support sustainable development in mountain communities within the region and around the world. The Mountain Sustainability Indicators project is a featured initiative currently underway.

International Conference on Women

On March 8-9, 2011, Utah Valley University (UVU) presented its second conference on Women of the Mountains with speakers from around the world. AIMF board members, Karinjo DeVore and Rebecca Wallace, organized a plenary session entitled "Women, the Rocky Mountains, and the Environment."
