Hosting Events
In the spring of 2002, AIMF hosted an event in Aspen, Colorado that recognized the contributions of local organizations, both public and private, in sustainable development and mountain awareness.
In the fall of 2002, AIMF hosted a community celebration of the United Nation's Year of the Mountain 2002, it included a concert and a presentation by a celebrated mountaineer.
AIMF, together with the Aspen Institute, presented a forum on sustainable mountain environments featuring Dr. Daniel Garvey, at Paepcke Auditorium in April, 2007 as part of the Aspen Sister Cities' 20th anniversary celebration of their sister city relationship with Chamonix, France.
